Finger Drumming Techniques Overview

In this session we explore a different way of creating music through live performance. Whether you're using a PUSH, MIDI Fighter, Launchpad, gamepad, any pad/key controller or even your computer keyboard, this workshop will level up your live performance skills with creative workflows and next-level techniques.

• Master Drum Racks – Build flexible, modular setups designed for live expression and fast access. Approach music creation and live performance in a new way

• Conditional Triggers – Create responsive setups where pads change behavior based on what you’ve played.

• Expressive Drums with MPE – Add another layer of expression and nuance into your performance with velocity, pressure, pad slide and movement.

• Live Loop Cutting – Perform sample chops in real-time, inspired by Monome and early 2000s grid-style beat techniques.

• Glitch & Reverse FX – Use smart mappings and audio effects to bend time and glitch out your performance on the fly.

• Momentary FX - Learn how to setup live FX that can be used with keys and/or pad controllers.

• Melodic Sequencing - Create pre-determined sequenced melodies for your pads

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Yeuda Ben-Atar, a world renowned Ableton Certified Trainer, hails from Los Angeles, California. Originally from Israel, Yeuda’s passion for music led him to the United States, where he discovered his true calling with Ableton Live in 2007, embarking on a journey of mastery.

He approaches Ableton in a unique way; producing and performing with video game controllers under the moniker Side Brain.

One of Yeuda’s most remarkable qualities is his exceptional knowledge and speed, combined with his unparalleled ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
