Jersey Club Overview

Originating in the early 2000s in Newark, New Jersey, Jersey Club is known for its fast-paced rhythms, chopped vocal samples, and addicting repetition. The genre's unique sound is crafted from a combination of house, hip-hop, and Baltimore Club influences, creating a vibe that's perfect for the dance floor.

We'll explore the techniques that define Jersey Club, from its iconic "bed squeak" sound to the stuttered and looped vocal chops that give the genre its signature bounce. As always, we'll focus on how to replicate and innovate within this genre using Ableton Live, discussing the tools and workflows that can help you capture that authentic Jersey Club.

Jersey Club highlights the impact of rhythm and repetition. Whether you're deep into music production or just exploring new sounds, the raw, DIY nature of Jersey Club offers plenty of room for experimentation.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

One of Yeuda’s most remarkable qualities is his exceptional knowledge and speed, combined with his unparalleled ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
