Get Progressional Sounding Vocals with Ableton Effects Only!

NEW UPDATE 12.1 now only using Ableton Suite Built-In Effects

This rack included a mixture of Gate, Pitch Correction, Pre-EQ, Compression, Saturation, Exciter, M/S EQ, Multi-Band Compression, and Parallel Time-Based Effects.

Essentially everything you need to turn dry vocals into production-ready takes.

Check out the video for more info and an overview of the rack.

Macros

Gate – A utility for a home studio with a noisy environment. Values of -45dB and -55dB usually work best. But it can change according to your pre-amp level.

EQ Intensity – Controls both Pre-EQ and Mid-Side EQ to clean the vocals and add depth

Verb – Parallel processes reverb using Ableton’s Hybrid Reverb

Slap Delay – A short stereo delay to add dimension and size to the vocals

Air – Brighten and open up the vocals

Compress – Controls the amount of the Compressor and Multi-band Compression

Top Harmony – Add a higher and lower octave harmony

Echo – 1 bar echo with slight Auto-Panning (no Ping Pong)

I’m also using Auto-Tune pro but you can use any pitch correction plugin you want, just place it before the Rack or after the Gate (first effect in the rack)

I’ve included two versions of the Rack one with Auto-Tune and one without
